Comment: After running off to live-in-sin with the photography teacher, I graduated UPenn with degrees in American Civilization and went on to work as a museum curator (photography specialist, go figure…) and director for over 20 years. Randy and I eventually married and have two great kids, Gordon, who is pursing a BFA in acting/performance (I dedicate his career to Ted Nickerson, Sarah Norris, Judith Cohen and all cast members from our Jr. High production “A Servant of Two Masters”) at UMich and Willa, who just started her freshman year at Penn and is already a published poet! Randy and I divorced after some 20 years together and I moved to Chicago to marry Ian Wardropper, then a curator at the Art Institute. This added a step-daughter, Chloe, who graduated from Wesleyan this past spring and now works for Obama (indirectly) in the Justice Department. A change in jobs for Ian brought us back to the NY metro area and I am currently Deputy Director of the School of the Arts at the 92nd Street Y and we live in Mamaroneck, NY.By the way, Randy Granger is currently Chairman of Art Education at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He is married to a great lady, Irene McHenry, and he is still a cult figure with students far-and-wide. He was the first private school teacher to be elected to the National Teacher Hall of Fame, he won the Golden Apple of Teaching, he had a Department Chairmanship endowed in his name, the honors go on and on…. Life has been rich and complicated, which is why this post is so long. In closing, let me say that I think everyone looks great, though I don’t think I’d recognize any of you, except Tina Seelig, who looks exactly the same! Comment:
Hello all...high school looks pretty good from here. After 35 years of twists and turns, I find myself in a good place. Proud dad of 2 beautiful young women. Proud grampa of 3. Higher education is both my career and my avocation. Still playing poker and still bowling. Just like it used to be. |
