Eric (Rick) Lemcke of 1975 or 1976 alumni passed away last week.

Eric was a pilot for 30 years flying cargo jets all around the world. Even though I lived in Millburn I met Eric at 15 years old and have many great memories as a kid with him.
He passed from heart complications way to young.

RIP my friend.

Mimi Allerton thoughtfully alerted folks on facebook to the death of our latin teacher Fredrich Moore, who passed away at the age of 81.  This is the link to his obituary, thank you Mimi.

I don't remember still feeling this warm and fuzzy almost four weeks after the 20th reunion.  Of course these days I don't remember much past a few days.  Only thing wrong with 35 was it wasn't long enough and I didn't get to visit with enough people for enough time.  What a great reunion!  Thank you to the committee for everything.  BTW - If anyone has any questions about the music put together for the reunion I invite you to contact me directly: batkinson3@mac.com

What a true blast from the past.  Thanks again to Mimi and everyone else who worked so diligently to bring us all together for a weekend we'll always remember.  Can't wait for the 40th!  Maybe at the next reunion we can enjoy the sound track that Bruce put together.  I wonder if maybe he'll download it somewhere so we can enjoy it now and then of course later at the 40th.
Great work Mimi and Gang!  What fun!

A big thanks to Don Moriarty for the after parties he and Carolyn hosted so graciously at Casa Moriarty.

A word of thanks to the organizing committee who made the weekend happen: I'm one of those chronic "non-joiners" (refused to go to the prom) so planning a reunion is not something I would think to do, but now, I get it!  Thank you for making it happen. Everyone had a great time and I'm just in awe of the organizers who gave it so much thought and effort. And to the rest of my classmates: it was nice to meet you all again on the "other side" of so many richly realized lives. By the way, Randy Granger gave me permission to give out his email so for all those who asked: rgranger@penncharter.com

Might I shill here for the message boards on this site ("SHS 75 Forums" in the menu on your left)? Maybe nobody knows what a "forum" is because it's been hard to get anything started there. How 'bout a little chatter?

You can also chat it up on the class Facebook page: www.facebook.com/group.php

(And if you're on Facebook, check and acknowledge your Friend Requests! I'm sure I'm not alone here -- some people have been showing up for me as Awaiting Friend Confirmation for months!! Yes, TERRY DAGRADI, DAVE ROSEN, BETH MAHER, and JULIE O'CONNELL, I'm talking to you!)

Finally cleared coming for reunion weekend.  Although I theoretically live in Ohio and work out of Dallas (out of being the operative phrase), I am now living between Santa Cruz and San Diego, and therefore challenging Bruce A. for distance traveled (John Hammell probably has us both beat with Washington).  Looking forward to seeing everyone.

What sorta jolts me when I ponder the class of 1960 having their 50th Reunion while we're having our 35th is that my brother Rob was only 3 years younger than those guys and he died a couple years ago.

A client of mine is the Life Extension Foundation in Florida, some of you might be interested www.lef.org They fund alternative gerontological research and publish a great magazine that you can find on Newstands or by joining them.

My brother Rob died from an aortic aneurysm while crawling under his bed one morning going after his shoes while getting dressed for work. Could happen to any of us! Check out the Rath/Pauling protocol for the prevention of human cardiovascular disease- its a very simple, inexpensive nutritional protocol involving Vitamin C, lycine and some other penny nutrients.... Re James idea of challenging class of 1960 to touch football, realize you're only joking James, but some of those guys could be in surprisingly good shape! I swim in a Masters swim club and we've got people in their 60s and 70s who are in astonishing shape- some are world champions in their age groups!

Maurice -- I believe Mary Beth told me that fabled courtyard of the senior rainy sleepover is no longer there due to renovations.  Do we have a Plan B?  As Bruce e-mailed recently, it's important to always have a Plan B!

James -- does this mean we'll be old codgers in 15 years?  I think NOT!

Just a quick question for the organizing committee:

If lodging for out of towners is still an issue, would SHS be amenable to letting us camp out in the school courtyard again ?

Greatly looking forward to seeing everyone !!!

PS - Loch/Steve/Jim :  Any of you guys still have a copy of that Senior project videotape that we made ?

I say we challenge those old codgers in the class of 1960 to a touch football game. If we win, they foot the cost of changing our cash bar into an open bar. If they win, we won't beat them up.

You know how old they are? They're so old, they went to high school at the junior high school.

John is right about the DeBary Inn.  The Class of 1960 is having their 50th our same weekend and they booked all the rooms.  Check into the other hotels (Travelers tab) because there should be availability.  Remember to call (as opposed to reserving on the Internet) and mention "SHS Class of 1975."

The Debary Inn is full, so Techie and I are staying at the Turkey Hill Inn on Beachwood Ave. While not listed here, its a good choice for anyone who doesn't want to stay at the Hilton, Best Western or what used to be the Hotel Suburban. See www.turkeyhillinn.com Their rates are very good! Look forward to seeing everyone! Greetings from Point Roberts Washington near Vancouver BC.
